BEK BROOKS

Country Music's next biggest star

Melbourne-based singer-songwriter and performer Bek Brooks has spent the past fifteen years carving out her own place in music. Refusing to be confined by genre, expectation or convention, Bek blends sharp storytelling, a distinctive vocal and an instinct for pushing creative boundaries to create music that’s unmistakably her own.

Her upcoming EP, Reckless, marks a new chapter in that journey. Produced in Melbourne and mixed in Nashville, the project brings together the two musical worlds that have shaped Bek as an artist. Moving between country-rooted storytelling, bold pop production and songs that explore everything from humour to heartbreak, Reckless captures an artist who proves great songs don't need to fit neatly inside a box.

Bek's songwriting has already earned international recognition, with I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend named a finalist in the Country category of the International Songwriting Competition, making her the only Australian finalist in the category that year. Since first travelling to Nashville in 2022, Bek has returned each year to write, perform and collaborate, including a showcase performance at the iconic Bluebird Cafe during AmericanaFest. Her time in Nashville has also led to lasting creative partnerships, including with producer and songwriter Derek Garten (Prime Recording), who has become a key collaborator across her recent projects.

On stage, Bek brings together all elements of her artistry. Whether she's having a crowd laughing along with the sharp humour of I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend or revealing the weight behind her more vulnerable songs, Bek has a way of making every lyric feel personal. With an effortless and captivating vocal, her live shows move seamlessly between humour, honesty and powerful storytelling.

Reckless is Bek's most confident work to date - a collection of songs and a sound that’s unmistakably hers.

See you on the big stage.
